WHAT DO YOU THINK ?

Well, I have finally had my bathroom walls painted black, this is what it looked like before ....
I have been going to do it forever but was not sure I would really like it.  It is actually a chalkboard paint (The Society Inc. chalkboard paint in Pirate Black to be exact) so if we get bored with it we can always write or draw on it, which I think could actually be kind of fun !!!

I think I like it, what do you think?

Holy crap! Sorry, but that looks really rich! Draws the eyes all around the room too, which I didn't expect with black. Did you use a matte black or a semi-gloss?

great look! love the matte-ness of the black!

Oh my it is wonderful. I really like the contrast to the still white elements...what a nice bathroom...the black is just great cause it does not seem glossy..
I meant to asked you something, as a Sydneysider. Do you know where it is good to get fabric (to sew) here in Sydney...thanks

Yep, I really like the flatness of the black too!! You could put a ladder in there and ask any kids to do some drawings for you? A good idea on paper right!! Pruxxx

I guess i missed this post yesterday. Anyway, i love it, plus it's a nice contrast against the subway tiles(they look like subway tiles, not sure though). Also, you seem to get great natural light too so everything just works!:-)

Mandy, I have missed this post, it's a wonderful idea. I just love your changes you've been doing for the house, you are such an inspiration.

I think you guys should use your son's idea, sounds marvelous to me :)

I absolutely think black bathrooms are way better than bright-colored ones. Good choice, Mandy! Those tile works are elegant for me. And its flooring matches the walls, too. We painted and renovated my bathroom in our Tampa cottage last season. Looks perfect!
